Charlie Parker

Charlie Parker

fjcinteriors has designed Charlie Parker, developed by Coronation Property, setting a new benchmark for the Harris Park precinct.
A fusion of scales
Charlie Parker represents a fusion of scales, geometries, community and culture. Back in the 1920s, the art deco era saw a similar type of fusion take place – combining modernism with fine craftsmanship and rich materials. It is a truly modern building that draws on the environmental and cultural strengths of the site.
The development is themed around the fictional character of Charlie Parker, whose name taken from the streets at the site and integrated, colourful and vivid artwork by Shannon Crees.
Curved glass and light
The interiors have been designed to emphasise the natural light and sense of space created by full height curved glass which wraps each apartment. The building’s contemporary fusion theme is carried into the foyer, lobbies and apartments with herringbone tiles, warm timber tones, brass trimmings and handrails.
As well as 111 residences, Charlie Parker will also offer a private residents’ lounge and a beautifully landscaped open-air pool with connecting wellness space and fully equipped gymnasium.
A sanctuary above the street
These apartments will provide sanctuary from the hustle and bustle below – and with all the curved glass, residents will feel as though they are floating in the sky. Our hopes are that the building will foster a community of residents who appreciate good design and diverse cultural experiences, and who share a sense of ownership and belonging in this special place.
The apartment interiors have carefully considered inclusions such as studies with built in joinery and bar cabinets which elevate the quality and experience of the homes, not usually found in this particular market.
Kitchens have generous island benches with hanging glass and metal shelves above, natural warm timber materials and high quality finishes.
Other, perhaps unexpected, design moments are bedrooms with extensive wardrobes with built in LED feature shelving and a curved, custom design mirror cabinet.
The material palette consists of joinery displaying natural timber materials, contrasting dark kitchen stone bench and handles, timber floors and high quality bronze tapware.
