Performance Spaces
fjcstudio designs performance venues as civic places, where foyers, plazas and public spaces matter as much as the halls themselves. Our work spans concert halls, theatres, event venues and teaching theatres.
The Concourse in Chatswood brings a concert hall, theatre, library and public square together on a stone podium. Bunjil Place gathers a theatre, gallery, library and civic services under one sheltering roof, and The Cutaway at Barangaroo creates a cultural venue within the cut face of the former headland.
At Stamford American International School, a 500-seat teaching theatre lets students operate its technical systems in a safe environment, alongside dance, drama and music rooms and a recording studio.

A theatre, gallery and library gathered under a sweeping roof that recalls the wings of Bunjil, the creation spirit of the Kulin Nation.

A flexible studio for performance, rehearsal and events, part of the cultural and civic precinct at Bunjil Place.
The Cutaway, Barangaroo
A cultural venue for performance and events, codesigned with First Nations collaborators within the cut sandstone of the former headland.
